Responsibilities
- Perform daily farm duties related to the care and management of livestock, including sheep, deer, and cattle.
- Assist with research trials by implementing study protocols and ensuring accurate data collection.
- Participate in intensive lambing, including recording lambing events in full detail.
- Support science teams by providing farm-related services that align with research objectives.
- Carry out general farm maintenance such as weed spraying, pasture topping, and fence repairs.
- Maintain field equipment and resources to ensure smooth and effective farm operations.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, animal welfare, and environmental care in all farm activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ farm experience, preferably with livestock management, animal health, and stock handling.
- Sound understanding of animal care and farm operations; experience with TruTest systems is an advantage.
- Full and current driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration within a small, high-performing team.
- Commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail in every aspect of the job.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and learning.
