Job Overview
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate daily animal care and husbandry operations across multiple facilities. This role involves supervising teams, managing manpower, ensuring compliance with safety and animal welfare standards, and acting as the main contact point for project-related matters. The position requires strong coordination, reporting, and decision-making abilities.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily operations of animal care and husbandry teams across multiple facilities
- Oversee manpower deployment, work scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure all staff follow animal care, handling, and safety standards
- Act as the main point of contact for all project-related matters
- Maintain smooth communication with stakeholders and management
- Monitor and enforce workplace safety, health, and risk management practices
- Prepare and submit operational reports and performance assessments
- Maintain compliance documentation as required
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards and contract specifications are met
- Implement training and development programs for animal husbandry staff
- Respond quickly to incidents, emergencies, and ad-hoc service requests
- Ensure all operations comply with legal, safety, and ethical requirements
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on animal handling or animal husbandry experience
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written)
- Good knowledge of animal care, welfare, and handling practices
- Understanding of workplace safety (WSH) standards and risk management
- Diploma or higher in:
