BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions is hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner Job in Canada to support cleaning operations across designated work zones in Canada. This role focuses on delivering high-quality cleaning services while following strict health, safety, and environmental standards. The Cleaner will play an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and healthy spaces for clients. Responsibilities
- Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, wet and dry mopping
- Polish and maintain hard surface floors using manual or powered equipment
- Strip and refinish floors when required
- Steam clean or shampoo carpets when necessary
- Clean washrooms, stairwells, and elevator cabs
- Clean glass areas using ladders or extension equipment
- Transport garbage to bins or compactors
- Move cleaning and maintenance equipment between floors or job sites
- Load, unload, and replenish cleaning supplies and solutions
- Clean, store, and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery
- Follow proper procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
- Report major repairs or maintenance issues to management
- Remove snow and debris from sidewalks and parking areas when required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or maintenance in an institutional environment
- Experience using floor maintenance machines and cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations, including WHMIS
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 25 lbs)
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, shifts, and multiple locations
- Must meet security clearance requirements where applicable
- Valid Class G driver’s license may be required
