Green by Nature NZ is currently hiring Cleaner Job in Auckland to support Auckland’s parks, playgrounds, and public spaces during the busy summer period from October to February. Based out of the Henderson depot, these roles play an important part in keeping public facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for the community. Responsibilities
- Clean public facilities across Henderson, Rodney, and wider West Auckland areas
- Empty rubbish bins in parks, playgrounds, and public spaces
- Operate compactor vehicles when assigned to bin collection duties
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in public areas
- Follow daily work schedules and assigned routes
- Report directly to the Team Manager
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good condition
- Support summer operational demands efficiently
Requirements
- Full, clean driver’s licence with ability to drive a manual vehicle (essential)
- Good level of physical fitness for a demanding outdoor role
- Availability to work Thursday to Monday (Tuesday and Wednesday off)
- Ability to work 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM shifts
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug test
- Commitment to health and safety standards
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
