Welder Job in Mexico

ShalePro Energy Services is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Welder Job in Mexico to support oil and gas production and midstream operations. This role involves performing a wide range of industrial welding and pipefitting tasks in live process and high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on oilfield experience, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in demanding industrial plant conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Attend work according to the established schedule with minimal absenteeism
  • Follow all company and site-specific safety policies and safe work practices
  • Assemble and install metal pipes and pipe fittings for stainless and carbon steel projects
  • Perform cutting, beveling, welding, preparation, cleanup, and repair tasks
  • Remove slag and rough spots using grinders or scrapers
  • Secure pipes using clamps, brackets, and hangers
  • Select appropriate materials and equipment based on metallurgy knowledge
  • Clean and prepare workpieces using chemical solutions to remove grease, rust, and contaminants
  • Preheat metal pipes using heating furnaces or weed burners prior to welding or bending
  • Cut, shape, and fabricate metal components to specifications using power and hand tools
  • Fill holes, cracks, and dents in metal workpieces and pipe products
  • Measure and inspect weld gaps, grooves, and angles using micrometers and calipers
  • Assemble metal and non-metal pipes using threading machines
  • Interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, ISO drawings, and P&IDs
  • Measure and fabricate pipe routings to match existing piping systems
  • Operate welding gas regulators and valves safely
  • Weld in flat and vertical planes (all-position welding)
  • Inspect welds for bead size, fusion depth, and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot piping systems and repair defects
  • Fabricate new or replacement parts for company equipment
  • Operate manual and automated welding equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of oilfield welding experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Must pass prescribed weld test and meet 100% X-ray requirements
  • Must own a complete rig truck with welding machine and full setup
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to work in live process and high-pressure systems
  • Strong understanding of welding codes and specifications
  • Ability to work safely and collaboratively with others
  • Self-motivated and able to follow daily job instructions

Skills

  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and API 1104
  • Downhill welding techniques (preferred)
  • Low-hydrogen stick welding procedures
  • TIG welding of carbon steel and alloy materials
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and weld shrinkage
  • Precision measuring and inspection skills
  • Blueprint, schematic, and P&ID reading
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
