Responsibilities
As a Welder at Machitech, your key duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting welding blueprints and technical instructions
- Checking the dimensions and conformity of parts before welding
- Cleaning and polishing parts to prepare them for welding
- Planning the sequence of part assembly
- Adjusting and securing structures using bolts, clamps, or spot welding
- Selecting and setting up appropriate welding equipment
- Performing welding tasks and finishing welds by brushing, grinding, or polishing
- Inspecting weld penetration and quality and correcting defects if needed
- Maintaining compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Performing other related fabrication and production duties
Requirements
- Training or experience in MIG steel welding
- Experience working in an industrial environment (preferred)
- Ability to weld in all positions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
