Job Summary
This is a casual customer service role with guaranteed busy hours across Labour Weekend and the Christmas/New Year holiday period. Applicants must be available between 25th–27th October and 22nd December–4th January (except for Christmas Day when the farm is closed). Work continues until the beginning of February.
The role is varied, and you may work in the café, the adventure park, the PYO strawberry fields, or in the farm shop. Whether you are serving ice cream, helping visitors at checkout, or guiding them in the fields, the focus is always on delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the customer service team at Good Planet Strawberry Farm, your responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and assisting visitors with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Serving customers in the café, including preparing real fruit ice creams.
- Handling customer transactions using till systems and EFTPOS/credit card payments.
- Providing information and guidance to visitors in the PYO strawberry fields.
- Supporting the adventure park team by helping families and children enjoy the activities safely.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in customer-facing areas.
- Following health and safety standards while working indoors and outdoors.

Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience (retail, café, restaurant, tourism, or similar).
- Experience as a barista, bus driver, kitchen hand, or in operating EFTPOS systems (preferred but not essential).
- A friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work in various roles across the farm.
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Full availability during Labour Weekend and the Christmas/New Year period.
