Job Summary – Role Overview

The selected candidate will play a key role in large-scale production of cultured chicken using fibroblastic cell lines. The work will take place in an SFA-compliant facility, ensuring rigorous and consistent production practices. Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform cell culture with a focus on chicken embryo cells.
  2. Prepare solutions and culture media at both small and large scale.
  3. Conduct bioanalysis of cell metabolites and medium components.
  4. Troubleshoot issues related to cell lines.
  5. Document work clearly and perform laboratory tests accurately.
  6. Communicate effectively with client staff and provide project updates.
  7. Liaise with vendors and testing labs for procurement and analysis.
  8. Support product and service sales through application and marketing input.
  9. Assist with creation of protocols, technical reports, and technology transfer documents.
  10. Undertake tasks assigned by the team leader and contribute to ongoing projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • BSc in Biology or related science.
  • 1–2 years of laboratory experience in aseptic and mammalian cell culture.
  • Background in microbiology or cell biology.
  • Strong pipetting skills, automation experience, and general lab skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas and linked spreadsheets).
