Responsibilities for Dairy Cattle Farm Worker
The responsibilities for the role of Dairy Cattle Farm Worker include:
- Assisting with daily milking routines, shed preparation, and machinery operation.
- Feeding cattle and ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
- Monitoring livestock health and reporting any signs of illness or injury.
- Maintaining hygiene in milking areas, sheds, and cattle housing.
- Supporting seasonal activities such as calving, herd movements, and feed preparation.
- Helping with fencing, irrigation checks, and general farm maintenance.

Requirements for Dairy Cattle Farm Worker

- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in dairy farming or a Level 1 New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture/secondary school education.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual farm work.
