Responsibilities
As a Finance – Commercial Analyst, your daily work will involve:
- Analyzing the performance of MSC’s Trades and Services, including operational, commercial, and financial factors.
- Identifying drivers of profitability and providing actionable suggestions to internal stakeholders.
- Running simulations for new or modified shipping services and presenting results to Management.
- Estimating preliminary voyage profitability as vessels complete their loading operations.
- Supporting Liners in benchmarking customer value by trade or on a global scale.
- Preparing monthly financial analysis reports as requested by management.
Requirements
To apply for this position, you should have:
- A degree in Finance, Business Management, or a Maritime-related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in a similar financial analysis or commercial role.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
