Responsibilities
- Follow assigned work and cleaning schedules as closely as possible
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish fixtures, ledges, HVAC units, and bathroom fixtures
- Sweep, mop, dust, strip, wax, buff, and disinfect floors
- Discard waste properly and reline trash containers with plastic liners
- Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing staff in resident areas
- Report all accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately
- Follow all safety precautions when using cleaning equipment and supplies
- Mix and use chemicals and disinfectants according to instructions
- Use personal protective equipment when handling hazardous or infectious materials
- Protect resident confidentiality and report any suspected violations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
