Job Summary – Warehouse Operator Role

The Warehouse Operator role is based at the DeLaval warehouse in Te Rapa, Hamilton. Working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, you will be part of a small, close-knit team reporting directly to the Warehouse Team Leader. This is a hands-on role that requires physical fitness, reliability, and attention to detail.

The position involves both manual handling and forklift operation, making it ideal for candidates with a strong work ethic, a practical approach to problem solving, and the ability to work well with others. Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operator at DeLaval Ltd, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Picking and packing of stock (including lifting items up to 25kgs)
  • Managing inwards and outwards receipting of goods (SAP knowledge advantageous)
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Conducting regular stocktaking activities
  • Operating forklifts, including reach trucks where required
  • Ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping using ERP systems
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and general upkeep
  • Following health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Performing other warehouse duties as assigned by the Team Leader

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience working in a warehouse or operational environment
  • Current F Endorsement and OSH forklift certificate (reach truck experience preferred)
  • ERP system experience (SAP knowledge advantageous)
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills

  • Proven reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
