Job Summary
The Welding Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising welding procedures for different steel grades including mild steel (MS), stainless steel (SS), and alloy steels. The role requires expertise in various welding techniques, such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SAW, along with knowledge of pre-heating, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and stress-relief processes.
The position also demands hands-on involvement in technical problem diagnosis, compliance with safety codes, and effective communication with the internal team. This is a senior-level role requiring technical expertise, responsibility, and innovative thinking to ensure the safe and efficient execution of welding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee welding procedures for MS, SS, and alloy steels.
- Select and evaluate appropriate welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SAW.
- Ensure pre-heating, PWHT, and stress-relief processes are followed.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and applicable codes.
- Conduct performance checks and propose corrective actions to team leaders.
