Windows System Administrator MSC

As a Windows System Administrator, you will help build and maintain the IT backbone of one of the world’s leading shipping companies. Based in our new Global Operations Center in Turin, this role offers the chance to work in an international environment, solve critical issues, and contribute to global operations that move trade across continents.

Responsibilities

As a Windows System Administrator, your tasks will include:

  • Managing and monitoring the Microsoft-based infrastructure (Windows Server 2016–2025).
  • Administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policies across multiple forests.
  • Implementing and maintaining Windows Failover Clusters and enterprise PKI.
  • Automating tasks with PowerShell, Rundeck, or Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Handling cloud integrations (especially Microsoft Azure: VMs, NetApp, Backup, ASR, DNS, Key Vault).
  • Supporting business-critical systems and participating in incident/root cause analysis.
  • Assisting with Citrix, RDP troubleshooting, and on-call rotations as needed.
  • Collaborating with global teams to ensure system stability and performance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Solid experience in Windows Systems Administration and engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Hands-on scripting skills in PowerShell or automation tools like Rundeck/Ansible.
  • Experience with enterprise environments, including Multiple Forests Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Windows clustering, PKI infrastructure, and system security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (VMs, storage, backup, key vault, etc.).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and strong communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and the ability to work under pressure.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and UEM solutions (SCCM, Intune, Workspace ONE).
  • Knowledge of Citrix, Kerberos, RADIUS, SAML, and LDAP protocols.
  • Prior involvement in enhanced security admin environments.
  • A strong service mindset and a desire to work in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
