Responsibilities

  • Assist with milking and maintain hygiene standards in the milking shed
  • Feed livestock and support pasture management and stock movement
  • Monitor animal health and report illness or injuries
  • Assist with calving, mating, and general animal care
  • Clean farm equipment, sheds, and work areas
  • Support fencing, water systems, and farm maintenance
  • Operate basic farm machinery and equipment
  • Follow farm policies on animal welfare and health & safety
  • Assist the Herd Manager and team with daily farm operations

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant farming experience, OR
  • A relevant qualification at NZQCF Level 4 or above
  • Physically fit and able to perform outdoor farm work
  • Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred but not mandatory)
