Responsibilities
- Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene in all kitchen areas
- Ensure Back of House areas meet the highest cleanliness standards
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks on time
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily tasks
- Reduce loss of silverware and prevent breakage of glassware and utensils
- Enforce proper cleaning routines for equipment, floors, and service ware
- Operate and clean dishwashing machines correctly
- Ensure food transport and holding equipment are in good working condition
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- At least 3 months of experience as a kitchen steward or dishwasher in a hotel or restaurant
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety protocols
- Willing to work on shifting schedules and during holidays
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
- Responsible, reliable, and hardworking
